Mostly good, minor issue

I bought some Oaxaca Cheese and their Crema Mexicana. The cheese was really good, stretched perfectly for quesadillas. The crema was rich and creamy, tasted authentic. Delivery was fine, arrived in 4 days. My only small gripe is that the website could be a bit clearer about specific allergy information right on the product page. I had to dig a little to confirm about the crema. Still, happy with the items and the overall experience was positive.

Easy peasy shopping

Just ordered some of their Chorizo and the Tamarindo Drink. It was pretty easy to find what I wanted on their site. Everything arrived in good shape, no complaints. The chorizo was tasty and the drink was refreshing. Definitely worked out.

Good value on staples

I was looking to stock up on some pantry items and saw El Mexicano had good prices on their Canned Beans and a large bottle of their Horchata. The value was definitely there compared to my local supermarket. Getting those bigger sizes for less felt like a smart buy. It was worth the purchase to get these items for a decent price.

So good!

Oh my gosh, I just tried their Arroz con Leche and it's incredible! So creamy and delicious, just like abuela used to make. I'm definitely going to buy more and tell all my friends about it. Seriously, if you love authentic Mexican desserts, you need this!

Always reliable products

I've ordered El Mexicano products several times now. This last time I got some Cotija Cheese and their Mole Sauce. Everything was fresh and tasted just like I expected. Consistency is key for me, and they always deliver good quality stuff. No surprises, which is what I like.

What's the best way to store their crema mexicana once opened? Does it last long?

L Laura Moore 1 week ago
Just keep it in the fridge, sealed tight. It'll last a week or two, similar to sour cream.

D Donna Mitchell 1 week ago
Treat it like any other dairy product. Keep it cold and covered, and it should be fine for a decent amount of time after opening.

Is El Mexicano's queso fresco actually, like, real Mexican queso fresco? Or is it more of an Americanized version?

K Karen J. 3 weeks ago
It's pretty authentic! They make a point of using traditional recipes. I think it holds up well against stuff I've had in Mexico.

J Josh 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I'd say so. Their dairy stuff is pretty on point for authenticity compared to other brands you find in US supermarkets.

How does El Mexicano's cotija cheese compare to Cacique? I usually buy Cacique but El Mexicano is on sale.

A Ashley Gonzalez 2 weeks ago
Honestly, I think El Mexicano's cotija is just as good, if not better. It's got that nice salty, crumbly texture.

B Betty 2 weeks ago
They're both solid choices. El Mexicano tends to be a bit saltier sometimes, which I prefer. For the price, it's a no-brainer if it's on sale.

Thinking of buying a bunch of their stuff for a Cinco de Mayo party. Do they usually have special deals or bundles around that time?

M Megan D. 1 month ago
Oh for sure! Cinco de Mayo is a huge one for them. You'll see weekly circular deals at most grocery stores.

S Sean H. 1 month ago
Absolutely. Keep an eye out for BOGO deals or bigger discounts on things like tortillas and cheeses in the weeks leading up to it.

Hey, I'm trying to find some manufacturer coupons for El Mexicano, any idea where to look? My local store doesn't have any in their weekly ad.

M Michelle Phillips 5 days ago
Check your Sunday newspaper inserts, usually SmartSource. That's where I always find mine.

J Justin W. 3 days ago
Yeah, newspaper is usually the best bet. Sometimes digital coupons pop up on grocery store apps too, but not directly from El Mexicano's site.

Are their canned beans gluten-free? Wanna grab some for a friend who's sensitive.

A Alex D. 1 week ago
Yep, most of their canned beans, like the whole and refried, are gluten-free. They're usually labeled too.

M Melissa Jackson 1 week ago
From what I recall, their beans are good for gluten-free diets. Always worth double checking the label just in case the ingredients change though.

Does El Mexicano sell their stuff direct online or is it just through grocery stores? Trying to get some of their chorizo but it's hard to find around me.

M Mary Roberts 1 month ago
Nah, they don't sell direct. Gotta hit up your local grocery store. Use their store locator on the website, it's pretty good.

E Eric Hill 1 month ago
Pretty sure they're just a wholesale brand for stores. I've never seen them selling on their own site, only through supermarkets.

Anyone know where El Mexicano sources their dairy products? Are they all made in the US?

C Carol Davis 2 weeks ago
I think a lot of their dairy stuff is manufactured in California. That's what I heard anyway.
1
A Adam D. 1 week ago
Yeah, I've seen 'Made in California' on some of their cheese packaging before. So probably US-based for dairy production.
